Why This Event Exists
Blast for BackStoppers brings the St. Louis community together around a first annual fundraiser with a clear purpose: stand behind the families of the police officers, firefighters, and EMTs who stood for all of us. It is a day built on gratitude, participation, and direct impact.
Our Beneficiary
All net proceeds from the First Annual Blast for BackStoppers go directly to The BackStoppers. Founded in 1959, the organization serves first responder families across 28 counties in Missouri and Illinois and provides both immediate support and long-term financial stability after a line-of-duty death or catastrophic injury.
Why Sporting Clays
A sporting clay shoot creates the kind of atmosphere this fundraiser needs: competitive enough to be memorable, welcoming enough for first-time shooters, and grounded in camaraderie all day long. The goal is not a tactical aesthetic. It is a respectful, community-centered event that invites businesses, families, and supporters to participate together.
